Bobby Jindal was in New Hampshire last week to campaign on behalf of John Steven, the Republican candidate for governor. Jindal told reporters that he will not run for president in 2012, according to Fosters Daily Democrat. The announcement came during a campaign stop at Salient Technologies in Portsmouth.
A number of high profile Republicans have visited New Hampshire to campaign on behalf of GOP candidates running in this year's mid-term elections, including Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour. However, Jindal was not alone is using his visit to the Granite State to quash rumors about a possible presidential run in 2012. Earlier this month, Senator John McCain made similar announcement while campaigning of GOP Senate candidate Kelly Ayotte.
