John Bolton may run for president in 2012

Republican John Bolton is now openly considering a run for president in 2012, according to CNN. Bolton served as President George W. Bush's appointed U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2005 to 2006, but was never confirmed to the position by the U.S. Senate. He is best known for his hawkish views on foreign policy. If he does run, expect foreign policy to be a central focus of his campaign.

Bolton currently works as a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and as a Fox News contributor. He is also the author of the follow books:
