Gary Johnson Announces Candidacy for President in New Hampshire

No exploratory committees, no online videos, no gimmicks. Gary Johnson announced his candidacy for president just moments ago in front of the State House in Concord, New Hampshire. Staff live tweeting the event posted the following statement just after 9:00 AM:

First time to say it: 'I am running for president.'
Along with the new campaign comes a new website:

So where does the latest Republican to jump into the 2012 presidential race stand on today's top environmental issues? Suffice to say that the word "environment" does not appear anywhere on Johnson's new campaign website.

  1. Be real here... Gary Johnson only has four issues listed on his new website. Did you really expect cap-and-trade to be one of them?

  2. Great post! This guy is going to open up the border/drug cartel issue, and others, that would otherwise take a backseat in the Republican Presidential discussions.

  3. The website for Gary Johnson's Our America Initiative includes, along with ten other issues:

Maybe he's dumbing it down about for the presidential campaign?

It also mentions cap and trade specifically, albeit not in the way this particular blogger would hope.

  4. "Maybe he's dumbing it down about for the presidential campaign?"

Or maybe his website is just incomplete...

  5. It is certainly better than some out there. Newt Gingrich's exploratory committee website is a single page and pretty tough to find!
