"The tea party movement stood with me through a hard fought race against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. It's time for me to give back and help our movement take the fight against big government to a new level. Please join the Patriot Caucus and be prepared to engage in a nationwide action campaign aimed at winning in 2012."
The website also promised that Patriot Caucus PAC offices were "Coming Soon" to Iowa, New Hampshire, Florida, and Nevada.
Now, Sharron Angle seems to be abandoning the PAC to its own fate. Recent articles by Politico and the Las Vegas Journal Review quoted Angles as distancing herself from the political startup. "I had originally lent my name to this PAC to help them start up so they could assist in organizing Tea Party efforts and local conservative grass-roots GOTV (Get-Out-the-Vote) efforts," Angle said in a statement released on Monday.
It seems like Angle has played a far greater role than that. She is listed as a member of the Patriot Caucus Advisory Committee, a group that purportedly participates in twice monthly strategic conference calls.
If Sharron Angle is backing out of the Patriot Caucus PAC, will the group still be opening an office in New Hampshire? It's possible. The group lists Lowell Tea Party activist Allan MacLellan as its Massachusetts and New Hampshire contact, but provides no way to get a hold of him.
Are you out there Allan?
