Gary Johnson Visits New Hampshire

Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson is in New Hampshire this week testing the waters for a possible presidential run. He'll be in Manchester tonight for the New Hampshire Young Republicans Christmas Party. Johnson is also scheduled to make stops in Concord, Keene, Lebanon, Manchester, Nashua, and Portsmouth.

Johnson is not your typical Republican presidential candidate. During a meeting with the editorial board of the Concord Monitor on Tuesday, Johnson expressed his support for ending the war in Afghanistan and legalizing marijuana. He is also fiscally conservative to the extreme, calling for a 43 percent cut in government spending.

  2. I heard Gary Johnson on Boston talk radio (WBZ) for an hour last night and he sounded great. He's a small government Republican across the board -- that's exactly where the GOP needs to be going right now. With the GOP's record during the Bush years, there are very few "conservatives" that I trust right now... but Gary looks like the real deal.
